Is there an alternative? The new kitchen has been fitted, the house is new so drylined and painted walls, as a small splashback we are using some "Plinth" tiles around the worktop edge's they are only 200mm X 100mm X 5mm, we like the shouldered top so would like the tiles to fit as close as possible to the wall, the finest comb I can get is 1mm, which is still to big, is there anything I can use so the tiles fit flush? ideally I would like just to brush on some adhesive, or doubled sided tape, or a bit of hot glue I really don't know, any help appreciated Thanks. Only thing that comes to mind is a really thin bead of silicone...

Have you thought about metal tile trim? https://www.protilertools.co.uk/categor ... -tile-trim you can buy molded corners if required too. This way you can fit the tiles conventionally and cover the edge in a matching finish.

Have already got the tile edging but as these are plinth tiles the top are already rounded, it's that look we want to preserve, silicon could be an idea, I could spread it on the back of each tile.

As they are in a kitchen silicone is probable the right choice as they need to be sealed against dirt and grease. With care and masking tape you should be able to get a very neat result.

Will silicon not be a "bit slidey" allowing the tiles to slip? What about one of those polymer grab adhesives?

If you have a look at the third photo, you will see some of the plinth tiles sat on the worktop, they cannot slide, these are not the tiles I will be using we have just picked up some gloss black ones. Don't know if I can get a grab adhesive here in France will have a look, thanks. Nos

Tiling finished just used good quality silicon, two beads along the walls, and just pushed tiles up against it, no grouting needed wanted a "Clean" look to it, only thing I had to do is where you look along the top length you could see a bit of the unglazed tile showing a thin brown line, so a few days before I painted this part with some gloss black enamel paint, Iam pleased with the result just have to wait for the rest of the worktops to be finished.
