Dual Fuel Radiator Element recommendations

Hi
I am looking for recommendations for dual fuel towel radiator elements.

I recently had a Terma MOA fitted that worked fine for a day and then hissed before tripping the MCB when I turned it on a day later.
Terma replaced the element and I am waiting for the plumber to fit the new one, but when he does I was considering getting another element fitted to a different towel radiator.

Given my experience and also having read some negative reviews on Terma elements, I was looking for recommendations on the best elements to fit.

I am not worried about price, its a false economy when I have to pay a plumber to fit a replacement, so I would rather pay extra and buy a reliable brand.

Preferably I would like it to have an integrated thermostat or timer.
Many thanks
Dave.

:welcomeuhm: I only ever fitted a cheap warehouse element to mine and it gave no problems in 5 years, control was a timer but perhaps you were unlucky, rating was too high, there was air in the rad and like a kettle with no water it burnt out.
Another brand DQ Heating MEG Thermostatic Electric .

Thanks for your reply. There was definitely no air in the rad - it had been bled, central heating turned on to move the water, bled again before being used and it worked fine the first time.
I checked the rad for air after it failed and there was none, plus the element is at the bottom of the rad so even if there was some air in it, I would not have thought it would be a problem. As I have a replacement for the failed one, I will get that replaced. Just nervous about using the same brand again on the other rad.
Appreciate the advice on the other brand - I will check them out.
Many thanks.

I've recently bought two Terma elements, one fitted but not electrically connected and the other to be installed. Bit nervous now.

I picked Terma because it was branded, most of the other elements out there are unbranded. I did look around and could see anything else.
