12v recessed down lights - replacements

Post by Russell94 »

So I have some recessed down lights in my porch, and I want to replace these. The problem is that I can’t seem to find anything similar with the same connections. I suspect that these may be part of a kit, but I can’t get into the ceiling to check transformer etc. Is anyone able to identify where and how I can get replacements?

:welcomeuhm: If they are just two straight pins, they are G4 Halogen type available S.fix # 604FH or Toolstation # 99067. Argos do an LED type (4 pack £10) but it then depends, I think, on the type of transformer whether they last.
When I had these in my ex house they often played up due poor pin contact and overheating blown, orible!

You would do better to consider swapping them for GU10 230v LED fittings (with customer changeable bulbs)
