Powertoolworld seems to be the cheapest at £789.

Does anyone know anywhere cheaper? Money burning a hold in my pocket.

Cheers Al but the SF one is the DWS which is the corded version. The battery one is the DHS.

The Ebay one has a maximum discount of £60 which takes it to £781. For the sake of £8 I'd rather avoid Ebay as they've pissed me right off lately.

I'd imagine the Toolstop one is advertised at that price because it's out of stock. Once it comes into stock I guess it won't be that price.

i use duck duck by default no other lol
i think the prices will slowly come down as factories go back to full production and buying reduces as trades fill there backlog off demand so supply and demand return
we started with 5% off then 7% now 10% with prices now being reduced towards 3 years ago without a discount being added so say 10% on top will be worth looking at lol

The problem with many of these Ebay sites All is they raise the prices just before reduction. FFX eBay is one of the worst offenders.

I was looking at a Table saw a while back, and FFX pointed me to the ebay site, even with the price RRP increase, after discount it worked out cheaper, I think by about £60 (on a £400-500 item ), I think thats was the maximum discount offered something like 15% OR £xxx whatever was the higher.
I did ask why not just offer me the £60 direct now to me while I'm on the phone to you , and they would not do i
i did not buy, as i was still thinking about it , did not a huge need, still dont, and to be honest if he had said, yes then I would have an impulse purchased. I guess my personality like a deal, and sometimes, thats all it takes for me to BUY , if undecided.

Ebay have a few FFX deals at the moment 15% OFF min spend £20 MAX spend £60

Example - DeWalt DWS774
£267.95 on FFX £245,57 through ebay, although price hicked to £288.91, and 15% off , so thats really only an 8% OFF

Looking at some deals today. I was tempted to press the button on a new dws777 310 inc vat with the 15% off eBay code.
However I have come across the HiKOKI C8FSE. The specs look good on paper the only thing which worries me is 1050watt motor compared to 1800watt for the dewalt. Do you think this will be noticeable when using. It says 9.5amp motor but I have no idea in laymans terms

Just bought one! Thats like 165 excl vat for a new, decent brand saw with 3 year warranty. Just been and looked at my old dewalt dw707lx type 2 which I am still using. That has 1200 watt motor and is around 10-15 years old. I'm sure a brand new 1050watt motor can keep up with some second fix mdf work! Also I notice that the Makita LS714 only has a similar size motor and seems popular on sites. I love the dewalt but I have the guard folded permanently back because it was such a rubbish system (the two little wheels). The current model DWS777 doesn't seem to have updated on this whereas other brands the guards fully retracts as you push the saw head down.

I need a 305mm saw for high skirting. I have a Metabo 254mm but haven't been impressed by it. Plus I'm on the DeWalt battery system and I've already bought the plugin pack which you can connect to the mains.

I keep looking at the Powertoolworld one but just waiting to fire the trigger 😂

Argyll look at crisscut capacity on that Hitachi it's got to be one of biggest of the 216mm saws. Think it's 320mm. Must come at a price sure it's less compact than the dewalt design or less rugged
