I've joined the forum as I'm a keen DIYer but lacking in knowhow when it comes to projects that are new to me.
You could say that I know how to do a job half well.
I do ask friends and family for advice about things that they know more about than I do, but sometimes their advice isn't the best.
Online sources of information (eg.youtube) can be helpful, but again, they're not always trustworthy.
So by joining the forum, I hope to share my limited knowledge and experience to help others, and also to ask for advice.
