Just wondered as we near xmas, family asking what i want (birthday as well)
Anyone had a really useful gadget bought for them , that they find very useful.
I had a few useful items
These Awls, and they have been super useful

This Jig template - I use as a square to make around the edge
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1
These Googles, don't mist up , used for DIY as well as Garden strimming

This Dewalt RightAngle attachement, although now I have been given a dewalt cordless rightangle drill

One i have not really got on with, a gadget for tape measure into corners. I thought i would use this a lot, and i have tried but maybe its the size of the tape measures i have used but did not work out for a few measurements.
https://mateymeasure.com/
So I will continue just to include the body and add that measurement to the locked value, most of my tapes have the size of body printed on the side, and I have a veneer gauge so can easily measure anyway.
I have been looking at some of the pencils, scribing tools , "T" precision marking tools etc

One tool that I personally really like and use a lot ( in fact all the time ) is this double edged /sided tape measure https://www.toolstation.com/advent-vice ... ure/p88425 the metric scale is on both edges front and back of the tape which makes measuring at height a easy task . You can measure left to right or right to left easily.
It’s just a great idea, I love it

Thanks for that, I did get one of those in my stocking , last year, and pretty much use all the time now , i keep meaning to measure the body for use in corners, as its one of the only tapes i have without the body size printed on it.
I have a milwaukee measure thats also double sided but thats imperial/metric and the one i got was very big, and usually when i want to read the back its imperial v a metric measure on the top. or visa versa.
In fact i pretty much carry the Visa-versa tape with me all the time now
the Milwaukee as a thump indent underneath , whereas this has a small button to temporarily hold the tape in place

I think the best tool I got this year was my mini chainsaw. I droned on about it in a separate thread. For £20 it is a must and I use for so much more than tree trimming.

Just search eBay for mini chainsaws. They are all the same basically and packages vary with 2 batteries, spare chains etc. I bought one for my neighbour for £20 but mine cost £31 on Amazon with 3 chains.
