Hardwired TV Splitter/Booster

Post by liamus »

Hi,
My TV aerial splitter and booster in the loft has stopped working and I need to replace. All the ones I have seen come with a standard plug however mine in the loft has been wired in to an unswitched fused spur - anyone know why?

Anyway, can I just removed the plug from a new booster and wire into the spur?

(Edited to add the line below, then edited due to TYPO)
FWIW All "Appliances" for the UK must come with pre-installed plug.

Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
