BBC Around the World in 80 Days

I watched the first episode of this last night despite David Tenant, an insufferable prick, taking the lead. I was not even surprised when I saw Passportout is played by a black man, I expected it. Of course, the BBC cannot stick to the original story, they had to mess with it to show how poor black people were exploited in Victorian-era France even though there were hardly any living there during the period, like Victorian England. I will stick with it but I was disappointed in the story change as it does not bode well.

How to f*ck up a great story in one easy lesson, Jules Verne must be turning in his grave.

There's a guy on Youtube with a channel called History Debunked. He is (as you might surmise) a historian with a string of well established books behind him so he knows what he's taking about. He's done a whole load of 'disassembling' of the black history, black oppression and slavery crap we've been fed with over the years.

Some of the stuff totally DESTROYS the lefty position on race/racism/slavery/bigotry etc and it's worth a watch. You might even get an impression that the guy is, himself, on the racist edge but his data is impeccable and it's all factual.

If you watch enough of his posts (most are only 5-7 minutes long) you'll get to see how distorted our view of the whole subject has been made - deliberately apparently.

Nice to see a Youtube channel that disseminate some hard-nosed facts - but it's still had him 'cancelled' a couple of times for not being PC enough!
Don't take it personally......

A lot of slave owners were ex-slaves themselves.

But it works both ways as a lot of history was skewed in someone's favour. For example, Winston Churchill was hated by most of the working classes. There were loads of demonstrations about lowering the working week which Churchill fervently opposed. His policies also contributed to the Bengal Famine. There's also the issue of the Irish famine which was before Churchills time but Trevalyns doing. Then the Highland clearances. Lord Earl Haig was another one who has had a lot of bad history deleted. He was not only incompetent but sent hundreds of thousands of British troops needlessly to their deaths.

There's a lot of British history that's been airbrushed out so let's not pretend everything was a force for good. In fact, I can't think of anything that wasn't based on greed.

The 77th battalion has been working tirelessly to skew our flawed history.
