We've just had new sockets installed and then had the wall replastered.
After the plasterer left, I noticed a gap between the sockets and I'm wondering what is the best and safest option to fill it.
Apologies for the 2nd pic, it was a screenshot from a video.

Gap between sockets
if its back to a solid wall then crumpled paper a bit off wood what ever to fill to within about 15-20mm from the front then 6mm layers off filler till flush or you can fit a bit off plasterboard on the front flush
you could also use a bit off wood no nails to hold at the side or top and bottom or all 4 but for best Finnish face with plasterboard and or filler as wood moves

Gap between sockets
Whoever put the plasterboard up, made the mistake ….. not to have the piece between the 2 sockets in place so it would be plastered.
Filler is worth trying but you’ll need cardboard “dams” to hold it in place

Gap between sockets
You can get special duel double socket back boxes, but in the main either double and single or four doubles, so in the main I use a tube nut or long male bush between the two sockets, which depends what is in my tool box, if this has been done you can fill with anything you like, Caulk, polyfiller, fire stop, anything to fill the gap.
If however no bridge between the two, you need to make one, bit a card board would do. Then Caulk etc.
