After recently starting out really on my own, anyway, I was wondering what you use for invoicing?
I did use Microsoft word, but that seems to take far to long and I end up with a lot of word documents for each job.
I've seen a lot of apps out there, available on either ios or android, some are ridiculous prices, others just a couple of pound.

Which one if any do you use?

Don't use any of them, you want something that does invoices, sends emails and runs a calender, try Tradify

Thing is, free isn’t always best.

There are a few products on the market so hunt around before you make any final decisions.

I’ve been using quick books pro for well over a decade now and it’s great. I’m using it on the laptop only and on an older box product licence so no ongoing fees. All my in come and expenses go through it so I can run reports when ever I want, and I can back track too old orders and invoices easily too

Choose well and it’ll save you hours every week, and when you pass your books to your accountant it’ll be easy to do your returns to

As it’s your first year don’t forget to save for your tax and ni bills. The simplest way to do it is calculate your monthly profit, deduct £1k tax free and save 30% of the balance. I use my premium Bond account and do win the occasional prize.

Hope this helps
