Shed base and floor questions

First time post, so go easy on me :)

I am going to build a shed from scratch on a concrete flag base.

If I build the base out of tantalised 4x2 with a blackjack coating on the bottom and sides, would I be ok to make the rest of the shed framework out of untreated 3x2? I plan on treating it afterwards with stain and sealant.

Also, what would be the most cost effective method and material for the floor panels?

I have to say that you need to cost this out as it is rarely cheaper to make your own by buying in materials. If you have a load of free wood then it is different. It is a good idea to rest floor bearers on damp course strip, a roll is only a few quid at Screwfix. This will stop damp penetration and rot better than any preservative.

A lot of ready made sheds I have seen are either a log cabin or really thin, I did get my shed built for me.........from "building blocks" (No, not lego, similar to breeze block but more dense) It will still be there when I am pushing up the daisys. (I also had it built with no windows or roof light, idea being more wall space to put stuff and when its winter you still want to turn the light on.)
