Hello, sorry for the long question.
3 weeks ago my mother was driving her 2018 Panda Easy, and drove over a rock that'd fallen from a hedge, she slowed as much as possible but went over it (like a speedbump at 30 miles an hour)
No obvious problems , but I managed to have a look underneath , and I could only see a slight scuff to the Flexi join in the pipe.
2 weeks later she's said when she parked in the garage there was an eggy smell.
I went out and had a look and there was , but it disappeared quickly , I turned over the engine and there was no eggy smell.
It's happened a few times since , only reason I'd notice it was because it was in the garage, I wouldn't of noticed it outside. The car was MOTd and serviced 2 months ago.
The car runs fine and quiet, and there's no loss of fuel efficiency that I can tell .
It's just the smell now and then.
The car has done 18,500 miles and is 4 years old . I've read horror stories about catalytic converter failure :( could that bump of damaged it ? There's no obvious physical damage that I can see from underneath, plus it's located on the manifold .
Thanks in advance

Have you looked in the garage? the ceiling in particular.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

The eggy smell points to the catalytic converter that is close to the front and could be allowing seepage of fumes when the engine is warm. Pop into an exhaust centre and ask them to check for a split or a loose joint.
