We watched a few of the Christmas specials of series we watched in 2022. Here is a rundown of what we have seen so far:
Speed watched Strictly and as soon as I saw the contestants I knew who had won. The real star who danced best was Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud but she had no chance against the woke vote. More b*llocks. 2/10
All Creatures Great and Small C5. This series is both good and bad, The sense of time of the 1930's portrayed in the costumes and settings is well done. The tinkering of the original stories of the books into this revised take is not good, many of the actors are miscast, and slipped-in wokery is always present. It is difficult not to compare the original 70's version which was faithful to the books. 3/10
The Great Pottery Throw Down C4. for some reason I enjoy this show as it shows great skill. The four celebs in this seasonal special were actually very good and made a fair fist of it. Perfectly fair judging with a worthy winner it is well worth a watch. 10/10
We still have Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing in the can to watch which is always excellent and a delight.

The "ghosts" special was really good.

Also, we watched the Detectorists special which was a charming and gentle little story with all the usual characters and a good story that is worth a look. beautifully filmed too.

Watched Travel Man in Jordan. This episode was filmed in 2019 with original presenter Richard Ayoade and David Baddiel and has strangely never been televised until now. Ayoade was always best at this show and the Lycett version is not as good. This is worth a look.
