Help with repressurising Worcester boiler

Post by JoT »

Hi, we have a Worcester mt10 boiler in need of repressurising. It has no internal filling key or keyless filling link.
There is a tap underneath it with a black lever as shown in the attachment. Could someone tell me the correct procedure please?
Many thanks.

:welcomeuhm: An expert might need a picture taken a bit further back to see the pipework more!

The other end of that filling loop isn't connected to anything. Must be there somewhere. Take aeromechs advice and send a photo taken from further back. Better taking a video, uploading to YouTube and posting on here.

Also, that filling loop with the black knob seems to be one of those things that cut into the pipe. I'm told these are a no no as they have a tendency to give way. It's an accident waiting to happen.

I am having trouble uploading video, but I have attached a photo from further away and one from underneath the boiler, which I hope might help.
Thank you.

Open the black valve with the blue dot half a turn or so then turn the black lever on the same pipe about 100mm to the left from the 6pm position to 3pm and the pressure should go up. Make sure you turn it all off again when the pressure is in the green on the gauge
