Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

i was at a stage in my life where my small railway pension [100k pot ]compulsory at as a non active member had to be taken at 60
i had no mortgage and decided i could take it at 59 live off £75 a week plus an average around £50 income from about a 26k lumpsum and as then 3% interest as i could work on the exciting jobs that give little financial reward in the end as i dont have a car i undershot the money available and virtually never asked for more than materials if that looking after those around me and never for those that really needed help in the close community without resources to sort things out
i always gave them a path to return the favour in there own way via plants/tips knitting /what ever to people around them to keep there dignity and help others --- a win win win situation every one feels fulfilled and doing there best and pass on the love and help

That is no excuse, especially considering you have a

wine~O himself made that tardis. Click here The "actual Tardis" looked like it was made from timber, (so it would blend in with its surroundings) there was never any mention of it being cast iron.
