We popped into Aldi as we were close by and I always like to look at the middle aisles bargains. I was severely tempted as there was an impact driver, a multitool, and a cordless angle grinder all for £19.99 each. But they were bare so I would have had the extra cost of charger and batteries plus I don't really need them  Mrs D pulled me away to look at some frippery or other and I ended up buying some Slumberland bed pillows at £8.99 for two which will be stored until needed ( i.e. when my dribble has ruined the existing ones) I also bought some Hunters chicken kievs as Rorschach mentioned them in the Air fryer thread and I fancied some for dinner after his description.

So, if these tools are of interest (or the Kievs) then pop into Aldi ad check them out.

Generally, I’ve found Aldi tools good value for money (GV4M) tho they are strictly for DIY-ers. Their battery powered items are also, in my limited experience, GV4M but one needs a backup battery for all but the shortest tasks. And therein lies the rub. Battery chargers are available year round.
Batteries are like the proverbial hens’ teeth except by post.
