DIY disaster in the kitchen

I was trying to the install connections for my dishwasher on my own.
Plan was to hook drainage pipe from the end of dishwasher to the existing drainage pipe. This is pvc pipe drainage pipe which runs from the kitchen sink up soil. I cut the pipe believing it must be 40mm in diameter to put a Tee piece connector and run into a big problem!!!
Being the property is quite old and god knows when this drainage pipe had been installed, the diameter for this pipe is 45mm. I searched all over the internet , called all plumber centers but no one sales 45mm dia. PVC pipes. Its comes only in sizes 32mm, 40mm and 50mm.
Some one suggested an idea of going for reducer, but again I couldn't find any reducer which goes from 45mm to 40mm.
So only solution left is to replace all the exsting pipe with 40mm pvc pipe.
Please can someone suggest any better solution to avoid hassle of replacing the whole pipework in the kitchen.
