I fitted a new handle/lock to the bathroom door, like this:
The thumb turn lock worked wonderfully before the handle was installed, but once installed it is too stiff to use. This applies even when door is open (i.e. it is not foulling on the door frame.
I have checked to make sure there is nothing catching where the barrel rotates inside the door ... is it perhaps because the the two backplates of the door handles are not 100% parallel/square with each other and it is causing friction?
