Identify a shower brand/part

Post by Audiotechnical »

Hi All,

Got a couple of weeks off work, so plan to fix several things in my house. First of all, the temperature handle on my shower broke months back and now I'd like to fix it. However, the part I wish to replace I'm not sure if this sort of part is replaceable, and if so, how would I go about understanding the model/brand or part number I need. This shower/bathroom was all setup when we bought the house, and I cannot find/identify the model/brand of this shower. Is there a usual place I should look if I take it apart etc?

Here are some photos of the situation, which may help people in the know to advise on where I should start.

Many thanks in advance. :thumbleft:

Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

They are normally very good but did admit defeat earlier this year with a mixer valve they couldn't identify

Thanks all. Well, the showerdoc guys did come back to me pretty quickly, but yes, they just sent me a link to all the handles they sell, informing me I could filter the results if I knew the model. I looked through all 98 handles, and none of them look right. In addition, I see the prices for the handles are not massively cheaper than an entire new shower bar as a whole (obviously some variation), so maybe you suggested @Someone-Else a complete new mixer may be the easier option.

Easy enough providing you can isolate the water supply.
