Decorators Varnish

Post by GrayG70 »

Hello all new here and looking for some advice.
My bathroom is painted with a standard matt emulsion, i have a 1l bottle of Polyvine water based decorators varnish to paint over it to give it a really nice finish and make it more hard wearing and stuff.
Im worried about applying the varnish, brush strokes etc, i wondered if someone could advice me please on the best kind of brush to do this job, a nice really soft one that wont leave lots of lines or strokes.
And should i water the varnish down a bit or just apply as is.
Help appreciated.

I have never used this but like all water-based acrylic paints it goes off really quickly I imagine. As it is a litre bottle I suggest using Harris mini rollers to get it on quickly and evenly only using a brush in the corners and next to trim. See https://www.screwfix.com/p/harris-trade ... pack/6261x
