iPod (no don't laugh)

Post by Someone-Else »

INFO:
I still have a couple of iPods, but today my regular one from 2015 decided it had no play lists, and no name. It had all the songs, just no lists. So it is now connected to my mac (don't ask) and all is being uploaded again (I hope) but that will no doubt take a few hours.

QUESTION:
I presume most use their mobile to store music on? but as I said, I have a mac that has iTunes, and keeps all my music (It's also good for keeping off the rain :-) ) I doubt it will work, connecting an android phone to a mac, so what does everyone else do? don't want to lose all my music and podcasts.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

All the music I have on my laptop is copied to a 128gb micro sd card fitted to my Samsung mobile. I rarely use that option as I have Spotify. My phone connects to my car via Android Auto so I can access Spotify to play through the car sound system. It also allows me to use my favourite sat nav app, TomTom GO and receive and reply to messages on WhatsApp. At home, I have a Sonos Beam with two Sonos 1 speakers completing the surround sound audio from the TV, and also to play music from Spotify.

Is your music still WAV format type and not converted to MP3 ?
I use a second copy to make conversions in case it goes wrong.

ipod doesn't save it as a .WAV file or .mp3 its some weird unique file extension. I am sure they did it, so you can't play it on anything else
