What's the best way to attach a corner post to a 600mm unit

Post by Argyll »

I need to attach a corner post to a 60cm unit. Attaching to the 1000mm unit is no problem as I'll use assembly joints (see link)

https://www.screwfix.com/p/white-assemb ... pack/25399

But I may have a problem attaching to the 600mm unit as it has no centre post and it has a metal support strip at the front unlike some that have wooden strips.

Is there a way to attach these to each unit or will I have to as it being secured to the wall is enough?

I would fit a small full height panel onto the end of the 600 mm base unit as it would stop stuff falling into the gap between that unit and the end of the 1000 unit. The corner piece could then be attached to that. I hope I have been clear with the above.

Yeah cheers Stevei. I managed to suss it. The 600mm unit is spare. They've sent me the 600mm unit extra which I wasn't aware of. I've just found an 800mm unit hiding behind the doors. I guess I'm supposed to use that.

I'll disassemble the 600mm unit.
