Our doorbell has come away from the wall.
One reason is the top scree goes into polystyrene wall coving.
What's the best way to fix the bell to it. I am guessing it's drilling through to the wall and a very long wall plug and screw
We can't easily move it as it's above the front door and would have to be rewired.

Fixing Door Bell to polystyrene coving
Can you not trim the coving down either side of where the bell goes? (stanley knife) might as well, as when you tighten the screw it should pull the bell back to the wall, damaging the coving anyway.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
