Here is the bag in question
FYI it's a bag that you put clothes in, seal the end and stick your vacuum cleaner hose on the valve, suck the air out, the contents go rigid (no air in the bag) and in so doing the bag reduces in height and becomes very thin, put it away and when needed open the bag and the clothes expand (may need ironing) but they don't smell, not moth eaten etc, great idea............
My question is, do you have any (lots of brands of these now) and do they work for you? I am just trying another brand and same as the first, in less than a month the bags have risen as the valve, seal or bag has failed, I know not which, the idea is good if the seal worked, but not for me, so, thoughts please. or any good brands?
These bags, opinions please

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

These bags, opinions please
My wife bought some off of eBay ( I don’t know the brand) and they stayed flat because they had a double seal on the bag with a slider that helps to seal both parts of the seal.
They also ( and most importantly ) have a cap which screws over the air extraction valve and that stops air entering the bag and keeps the contents flat.
My only other observation is that we tried to put a winter duvet into one large bag but it wouldn’t seal properly so we bought a slightly bigger size and it sealed ok , so trial and error but we got there in the end.

I got mine years ago when they were probably a bit rubbish. I would think that they have got them right now making sure the seals and valves work properly. The one I had had obviously leaked from somewhere as air crept back in and a duvet packed in there was fighting to get out. It is a good idea if the components are sound.

Thanks for your thoughts both of you, anyone else tried them and have an opinion?
I have added another picture of the bags I have
As you can see, it is just as London mike 61 describes, it has a double seal with the slider (I found the slider not to be 100%) I found that after using the slider I can squeeze the seal with my thumb and finger and I can feel the seal click into place (Not all the way along, but in the "odd place" which to me says the slider is not as good as it would seem.)
Mine also has the cap which screws over the "air extraction valve" also shown in the picture.
I would as anyone that has these bags has a look at them, I agree that yes you should not over fill them as the contents may be pushing too much (Although if the air is removed how can they push?) I suggest that when you check your bags, don't just look, as they will 90% chance still be flat, but are they stiff? no really, pick one up and does it move, when I first vacuum the air out the bag goes rigid, but in a few days the bag looks flat, but when you hold it by one end it falls over, as air has got into the bag. I thought for ages mine were ok, it wasn't till I moved them to add more bags on top I found they looked flat, but had gone soft and had increased in height. I tried a different brand of bag, same thing, hence my post here.
Yes, good idea, but I find they all leak.
