Howdy

Been a while since I was on here, now a proud home own so nice new DIY projects to do.

Recently the hot water on my upstairs taps hasn't been coming on, downstairs is fine.
The flow to downstairs is nice and strong, the separate toilet sink is a micro tap and a small flow and the shower room tap is OK and only recently started to struggle, if I turn both upstairs on the boiler usually kicks in.

No issues with heat temperature.

I don't want to be calling in anyone to be changing a £5 diaphragm if that's all it is, a whole Pressure unit can be found for about £40, hoping for some direction on this.

Cheers

Welcome back, been a change in experts since 2011, but give them the exact model and approx year, as the Performa 24 comes in several modes?
But are you stating the boiler fires for downstairs but not for upstairs?
Has the flow rate to upstairs remained the same?

Yeah a model helps, it's the ECO HE
Can't find exact date for this but found docs hat came with the house, a gas inspection going back to 2008 for this boiler

So it is a combi; if it will fire up for hot water to the micro tap then I doubt it is a boiler fault, more likely the supply to/from the upstairs tap is low

Could be a split diaphragm and less water pressure at the upstairs taps so not activating the microswitch

Forgot I posted after heading onto youtube and finding a couple of great videos.
The diaphragm was ok, but I replaced anyway and cleaned the pin, it seemed to helped heating activation, I also replaced the hydraulic venturis assembly as I found the plastic part (flow restrictor part I think) had deteriorated.

Also decided to test the piping to the sink by disconnecting the the sink pipe and fitting a flex pipe to the value and when it's open the heating turns on, the tap may be blocked but I can't really find anything or, as it's a shallow slim sink I suspect it has a restricted flow to prevent slashing.
Not sure if I recall using the top on hot as it I would wash in cold in that room.
