-Straight crack on shower wall in Travertine tiles 2 inches high from the floor around the entire shower.
-Concrete board on wall comes down and stops 2 inches above floor
-Solid Concrete 2 inches high from the floor to the concrete board
-Crack follows seam or where the concrete board meets the solid concrete
-Second floor bathroom
-Water coming down through ceiling
-No visible vapor barrier between Concrete board and tile (I Could be wrong but I don't see anything)
-It was wet behind the tile I knocked out
What is my best plan of action. Total tear down and rebuild or replace the lower tile and fix the concrete board and knock out the 2 inch of solid concrete?
Thank You in advance. I have tiled 3 bathrooms before and kitchen so I have some knowledge as a DIYer but not a professional.
