Unfortunately their support is less than adequate.
My current bathroom extractor fan and light runs off of a pull switch. The extractor fan is a Manrose timer fan and takes a switched live, permanent live and neutral.

The light sits inside the extraction duct and takes a live and neutral via the provided transformer (its a standard wicks extractor and I replaced the fan with the Manrose).
Current wiring is as follows:

I've connected the MSS810 as per the manual with the fan permanent live still connected to COM on the pull switch and it works as expected, both the pull switch and the MSS810 turning both light and fan on and off with the fan timer also working as expected.

My questions/concerns:
1 - Is there any issue with running both the fan and light off the MSS810 and a permanent live off pull switch COM to the fan.
The product website has the following FAQ:
Can I control multiple lights with this switch?
As long as the total power is below 400W, you can control multiple lights.
The wattage of both light and fan is less than 100W.
2 - I would also like to reduce the number of cables coming through the ceiling. Can I use wire connector blocks in the loft to feed just the pull switch COM and L1 wires down to the switch as per the below diagram:
