Hello,
We removed our old storage heater and replaced it with electric oil ones, we now have 2 large holes in the flooring where the feet of the radiator was, whats the best method to repair these, as you can see, I thought some filler, sand it down and use some colors to match the flooring? but wondering on any other solutions that might be better, we won't have any leftover flooring as it was here when we moved in

Ideally, it would be best to try to identify the wood floor and get a sample piece. You could cut and fettle two patches from that to glue in and match the colour and grain orientation.

Thanks, any idea how I would go about identifying the floor manufacturer and type? as mentioned, was here when we got here, must be at least 5 years old, if not older

You will have to do a slog looking at sites. Search free samples and look at the ranges for some good matches. Your repairs will not be invisible but not apparent enough for an annoying visitor to comment.
