Removing bathroom shaving socket
Hi, I have a shaving socket in my upstairs bathroom that we do not use. I am currently repainting and am thinking about removing it. What would be the easiest way to do this? I found the point in the loft that I think is feeding the bathroom lighting as well as the shaving socket. Picture attached. I found a note next to it that seems to explain some of the wiring, although I don’t know what the abbreviations in the note are supposed to mean.

It looks like it is the colours of the wires in the terminals. (Doesn't mean anything though)
Are you sure you want to remove the shaver socket? Its just if you do, you will have a gaping hole left in the wall.
Assuming you want to go ahead, you need to trace the cable that feeds the actual shaver socket, disconnect it from where it is supplied from THEN (and only then) you can remove it and fill in the hole.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Since it is a ceiling rose, I would guess the cover has long gone into the bin as it "won't fit"

yartin, at best guess the feed to the shaver socket is the darker of the 2 blues and the yellow at the ceiling rose. Please confirm this is the case by removing the shaver socket cover and checking that the colours match ... LECKY OFF.
If you can confirm what i suspect then just disconnect wires as a bove at the ceiling rose.

yartin, what didn't work? were the core colours at the shaver socket different ? Are you sure that the shaver socket is fed from that ceiling rose ?
