Morning people I'm new here and trying to get some advise on my "DIY Disaster", I have been sanding my walls to give a good finish but I've reliased I've been doing it wrong and I've sanded with the wrong grit Sandpaper now the mrs is going to kill me. Now I've got patches on my walls where I can see bare plaster, I've been after some help on how I would go about painting on here. I've been told I need to put a contract matt mist coat on then 2 layers of matt. I'm just worried that if I use the wrong paint it's going to go wrong and I'm after some recommendations for the paint I should use for the mist coat if it's needed. I'm thinking of using dulux matt brilliant white so I can paint the ceilings too. I'm planning on using durable paint such dulux easycare.
TIA

The reason you use a diluted mist coat on bare spots is that the bare plaster will draw the water out of the paint and the rehmaining paint will not bond properly and may craze or lift. Dulux can be thin, I like Johnstones Covaplus but always ensure it is a trade paint you use
