I was trying to understand what the real issues were here as we have the media pushing the view that this was a right-wing inspired riot. What we do know is that the internet falsely reported that the murderer was a Muslim and this no doubt lead to a lot of local anger aimed at the Muslim community. I cannot think that there was enough time for a right-wing group to get organised quickly enough to cause this civil unrest. I think it was reported that way so that the misled angry locals who reacted were conveniently put into a category of right-wing thugs to give some justification for their actions. Yes, it was uncalled for but after such an awful event tempers would be running high. Let us look by comparison at the anger and hate we have seen carried out by Muslims against Isreal which has nothing to do with the UK but it has caused much civil unrest here. I think that this riot was in part an indication that many in the UK have had enough of this kid glove treatment of people who ultimately are against the values of the country as a whole. The media are trying to bury this by not giving details that the murderer in Southport was black as that does not fit the narrative. Enoch Powell was right about blood on the streets, this could be the start of more civil insurrection.

I thought they were representative of the sort of people who go to football matches mainly. I am sure there might have been some right wing agitators stirring things up the main point I was trying to make was if the fake internet information on the murderer was a deliberate act to cause civil unrest or if it was misinterpreted from a (now deleted reputable news source) that the perp was born in Rwanda and came here as a child with his parents. This makes no difference to the crime of course, as he is 17 he is afforded the anonymity of the young in the judicial process. Did you see my link to the nutter who got hit by a brick on his nut and one one in his balls in my Karma thread. I would stress Iam not supportive of the actions of these morons.

yesterday literally almost right by my house someone got locked up by armed police for walking about the nook with a machete. most likely on his way to sunderland to cause mayhem.

aye there are some helmets who go to football matches but its a bit unfair to generalise like that. there are many football fans who are not like these knuckly dragging dickheads.

Yes, I accept my comments were very generalised as usual. I think there are two things happening here, the authorities having double standards and the over focus put on white rioters. There was a semi-riot in Leeds where a largely Asian community kicked off when two children were to be taken into safety from Roma Gypsies by Children's Services. Another event largely played down was a load of blacks with machetes causing trouble in Southend. All this putting minorities first and pussy footing around has resulted in a lot of people saying enough is enough and they are beginning to kick back. I am sure the right wing groups are stirring up local useful idiots into causing problems for the authorities. It is just dawning on many that Rwanda being cancelled has encouraged more migrant crossings and this will cause more problems as Labour will never control it, they see them as future voters.

These riots are continuing but Sir Starmer will get it under control saying today those involved will face 'The full force of the law' Well I am sure that will stop further riots when the Police cannot even arrest a shoplifter. Looking at the lines of Police facing these riots you can see the effects of poor recruitment over the last decade where the police have not been selecting the right sorts for the job. If you compare the average policeman in the 60s, they were tall, tough, no-nonsense, no glasses, fit blokes. Now they are more likely to be an elevated community police wimp or a graduate with a mediocre degree from a second-rate university. The underlying issue must be addressed and that is the boat immigrants coming in. I would go on to say the majority of the immigrants coming in over the last 30 years have not made a positive contribution to the country. This thorny issue must be addressed if the riots are to stop. Cancelling Rwanda caused this, that and the meddling European Court of Human Rights. Would a lefty please explain how this can be solved, you all had plenty say when the conservatives were in power, it all seems very quiet now.
