I've been looking for ages, the thickest pine or hardwood architrave I can find is 20mm. If I want thicker I have to go for MDF. f*ck MDF, I want real wood!
I believe I can have a bespoke run made, but the minimum order is 30m. I need 6m at the most.
I'm renovating a bedroom and have completely gutted it and started from scratch. The property is Georgian and i'd like to get some architrave and skirting that is similar to what is in the house. The skirting i beleive is 20mm thick, and the architrave is 25mm thick. Whatever the thickness is, the architrave sits 5mm proud. I'd like to replicate this.

Have you though of building the board up? The main body can be a straight board 25mm thick. The moulding can then be added to the top if you kind find the section. Modern glues will do the rest.

options are
rob from one area to complete the job then fit the whole room with new skirting
Transition from one thickness to another at a corner/door frame/behind a radiator or other convenient point or transition from one thickness to the other over perhaps 600mm and fill the tapering gap at the back
or pad out the back with 6mm timber/5.5mm ply to give required thickness
the 6mm strips can be run off a say bit off 6x1par giving you several 20mmx6mm strips with 3 or 4 evenly space top to bottom on the back

IF it were just to produce a timber 25mm finished size then I’d go with thinning a thicker section down. Granted I do have a thicknesses but it’s perfectly doable with a circular saw and a power or hand plane to clean it up , 6 metres isn’t much to do. A lot might depend on the moulding though. If you’re not putting the moulding on yourself and are reliant on an off the shelf product then building up is about your only answer really,

Find some reclaimed arc and/or skirting, a lot of skirting is just the same as the floorboards either square edge or simply finished
try Travis Perkins for 25mm arc
