You don't NEED 4k, there are lots out there. Ask 10 people you will get 10 answers, no two the same.
I suggest you decide what you really need, not what you think you want, then look for something that fits. Anything that is radio will be a PITA.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

External cameras I'm installing POE ones. Front will connect directly to router. Back will route into the loft and connect to the DVR in the loft.
4K is a want not a need.
Internal ones need to be wireless. I can't be running Cat5 cables down the walls in the house. My wife won't allow it.

Why would you want to do that? Put the cameras on the ceiling. All of my cameras are PoE. I have been looking around for you, and i will point out that you should read the specs before you buy. Quite a few say they are wireless, well the picture is sent over wi-fi, but the camera needs a 12v supply to operate, so each comes with a plug in power supply (To me, that is NOT wireless) I did see others that have an internal rechargeable battery, but that means the battery will fail when you don't want it to, and every so often you have the hassle and grief of going to each camera and taking it down to change/recharge its battery. By human nature, at fist you won't mind, but after a while..........Distorted Vision wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 11:06 pmI can't be running Cat5 cables down the walls in the house.
I would also advise staying away from any camera that has Pan, Tilt and Zoom, yes its great fun to play with, but when you are not there, the camera will always be looking in the wrong direction.
One more thing, to be of use you will need an NVR to record the pictures, you will need a PoE NVR not a DVR
