I have had a new patio laid with an ACO channel drain fitted against the house, 2 bricks below DPC. It runs along the back of house brick wall to a household drain either end but the channel is not connected to the drains. The patio has been laid by the builder What can be done to connect the channel to the drain?

Get the builder back to fix his error. (Before you call, tip a bucket of water down the ACO drain and see which way it runs.)

AS S-E says - put a few buckets of water down and see if the water actually empties , may have done something different , like just soak away into the ground, which s NOT good my soninlaw had a similar issue with an unfinished ACO drain in front of his garage it drained before the drain into the ground
They had installed a soakaway - specifically to drain this area , and then failed to connected it up - and the ground slopes back to the garage - quite a big slope - so a lot of water

From my understanding surface water should not really be connected to foul water drainage, it would overwhelm the sewerage system in heavy rain if all downpipes were connected. This surface run off drain will probably not take that much run off unless the patio is angled to do so. My suggestion would be to drill a row of holes in the end cap to allow water into the drain hopper.
