I have an outside light with a switch inside. If I switch the switch back and forth about 4 times, the light stays on. Then, after about 8 hours it goes off and back to sensor.
I do not want the sensor light at all. I just want to use the inside switch to switch it on and switch it off.
Can I alter the light itself? Or do I have to buy another light? Will I need to do anything with the internal light switch?
I attach a photo of what I found when I opened it and a photo of the light and it's description.
Thank you.

Can my PIR be disabled, to switch on and off by switch?
Post by Someone-Else »
RJNo3 What you ask can be done, but you would need to identify which wires do what in your light. As you have no means of testing (If you had, you wouldn't be asking here) It would be easier and safer for your self to buy just a light fitting and lamp.
The video mentioned explains how to connect a standalone PIR and a switch, which is not what you have.

Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Can my PIR be disabled, to switch on and off by switch?
Managed to work it out. Once I took the back plate off I could see the grey and white wires went to the bulb. The red blue and brown went down to the PIR.
On the original connector at the top, the blue neutral was linked to the white. The grey was linked to the live brown as was the red.
Didn't need the red because I was disabling the PIR.
So I wago clipped the blue and white and the grey and brown. Red out of use.
All works on and off on the switch now.
