Ariston Andris water heater reset button

Post by fender62 »

got an Ariston Andris undersink hot water heater, stopped working no red light unit does have power though, the reset button is stuck in, was working but... there is a push tap on the sink that was stuck in the down position and would not rise back up, so hot water continued to flow for erm hrs until discovered, so i can assume it burned out the unit ? thus the stuck reset button, iv turned off the power to the unit and waited thinking the reset would popback out for a reset.. nope, anything else i could try before getting a new unit.

I am sure the reset can be renewed, but would also need to renew the thermostat, I found the instructions on line, but they tell you very little.

I have an advantage, I have an insulation tester and a multi-meter so I can test and be sure before ordering parts, but it does seem likely replacing the thermostat and reset it will work, but can't guarantee anything without testing.
