Hi
I have a tenanted flat, it has built in 600mm gas hob and 600mm electric oven, one not working and the other has problem so time to renew. I found a reasonable 500mm standing gas cooker, what the best to negotiate the 100mm gap? I have already changed both twice in the last 15 years hence opting now for freestanding and gas. Pic below.
Thanks

is the replacement a normal cooker as in need the cabinet removed plinth trimmed to size and worktop trimmed back to fit??
iff it needs removal off the worktop centre you need to check you have less than around 480mm hole to trim

Yes normal cooker 500mm pic below, of course plinth and anything on the way will be removed and end up with 600mm space and new cooker is 500mm.
No need to remove work top, just square cut where the hob sits to open space for cooker.

check the opening gap in the worktop
iff you have a shortage off length then you could try aluminium joining trims with the curved edge forming a bridge to the cooker??? random link

Cut out the middleman and buy an air fryer. We hardly use our oven these days. You can get a double drawer for £70 if you shop around.

yartin is the landlord, can't really say no oven and hob for you. (the tennant)
I would opt to cut out where the hob is, and put in a narrow shelf wither side. I always thought our built in hob and oven was a PITA, I never wanted it SWMBO did............. until the 2nd one gave up. We now have what I have always wanted, a free standing gas cooker, it's also great for doing cheese on toast.
