After installing an LED light fitting the consumer unit is making a quite load buzzing noise, could anyone please tell me if this is likely to be a faulty fitting or somthimg else?

Remove the light and then listen to what does or does not happen

Buzzing noise stops, it isn’t present when I use a simple LED bulb in the same room either

All is well without the "new" light, you get buzzing with the "new" light.
It is a good bet the problem is compatibility with the "new" light either that or it's ..........

Could be loose connection(s), too much load on the circuit

I would assume the device in the consumer unit is getting near to tripping value, be this overload or earth leakage we simply don't know. Could be some switch mode device in the lamp is causing high frequency or DC at the consumer unit. But can only guess, if me, I would return the lamp as faulty.

After doing standard tests, of course.
