It's a typical school summer holiday. Great the first week, patchy the second week and piddling down the third week. I'm fed up, so many plans, not in the rain though!

patchy? piddling?
come down here! - constantly pouring down
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Hoovie,
I thought that the weather was supposed to be warmer where you are. Are you still off too?

When the rain stops you from earning your living, you have got the right to bitch and moan about it! And now I am bitching and moaning

Telmay,
You have a point.
I used to work at a plant nursery and we had yellow waterproofs to weed in the rain, trouble is that you were as wet inside as outside as they were hot.

Beautiful hot sunny day here, until I realised I'd fell asleep in the armchair watching the Olympics!

Last week of hols, could do with a shower of rain over here as it's sweltering heat all day long.Even the sea is 27 deg c . it's either swimming or having a siesta under the aircon. At least ther's cold beer to keep me from dehydrating
