Cutting tiles

Hi,
just got myself a B&Q diamond water tile cutter (aka Plasplugs compact).
I've seen photos that show it cutting slots and square holes in tiles, but the instructions don't show you how to do it.
Neither does the very good instruction page and video on this site.
So, does anyone have any experience with one of these and can tell/show me how to do it ?
thanks,
Graham

Thanks, that simple eh ?
I assume you should score across the slot prior to snapping it off ?
(can you guess this is my first time?)

How about a square hole in a tile for say, around a light switch ?

To cut a square hole in the middle of a tile you will need a tile saw.

I always score the cutting line as well as marking with a pencil, I find it leaves a neater edge. Bit like when you cut worktops the cut edge doesn't chip!

For square holes as said before a hole saw and tile saw is required, to square off the hole, rough edges can be dressed with a tile file.
Or drill a hole in each corner then use the tile saw along the scribed line, always try a cut on the down stroke away from the glazed surface.
