How to cover a maple wall unit dent

Post by Beginner »

Hi

We have recently discovered a dent in our maple wall unit and this means that the maple vaneer or finish is no longer there. I contacted a french polisher who said to ring the furniture store up and get a new replacement door. Which wasn't very helpful. The furniture range is now obsolete - so even if I were to take this route I could not. Does anyone know of a product I can use to colour in the wood. I am not too bothered about getting it filled, although if anyone does have any ideas that I can do myself I would be greatful.

The kit that Big-All has recommended looks like a nice piece of kit and will cover many different types and shades of wood.

Alternatively you might be able to get a laminate floor repair kit in the correct colour- http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro ... 3&ts=92872

That is a Beech kit, but I am sure you can get a maple kit from somewhere, that is if you don't get the kit from rutlands.
