Tiles r Us

Mrs M decided to go to a "big place" to get the tiles and sanitaryware for the bathroom refurb, she chose Tiles r Us. Now I'm actually using the tiles, I have found myself very tight for numbers. Now I learn that Tiles r Us are no more, and worse, they contracted for the designs from manufacturers who were forbidden to supply anybody else. So please wish me luck that I don't run out before the job is done.

Yes, the job was planned years ago, other projects came and went, no help from son or wife, so now working on it. Will post pix when I'm done.

It's worth joining a local Freecycle group for things like that. If it looks like you'll run out of tiles, you could see if anyone has any that they could liberate, you can even post pics so that folks know what you're after.

Found a supply of tiles that I am short of, at £24 M2, the only problem is that they are 250 miles away in Sussex, and they don't deliver.

Wont they sort out a courier for you - and how many m2 do you need?

two square metres would be enough, 2 boxes of 20, 8" x 10", quite heavy, but I haven't found any other supplier yet. So I'm exploring the options, I have to go to Aylesbury and Oxford in December, so I might be able to get them then. The delay won't stop me from continuing with the rest of the job, but it would be awkward to do afterwards.
BTW, the tiles are Oporto Gris, made by Azteca Ceramica in Spain, they have none there.

Bit the bullet, asked the dealer to pack them for me to arrange collection by DHL. Sent off the cheque today. If you are looking for tiles, discontinued designs, they might be worth a punt. The maker in Spain suggested them. PM me if you want the details.

I now have the tiles to finish the job. Everett Tiles say they have loads of tiles from different makers, PM me if you are looking for discontinued tiles
