I've got a large amount of wood in my back garden, all outdoor treated that I plan to build a deck with. Thing is, the deck's been delayed (long story). whats the best way to store the wood? at the moment moisture is soaking up into it from the ground. I've no-where to store it inside so it'll have to be outside somewhere.

I would try and stack it off the ground say on old pallets (if poss) with room for air to circulate.

And keep it as straight as possible to prevent warping or sagging.

Depends on how long it's going to be left.

my suggestion assuming its long term
brick every 3ft
stack 5 or 6 high spaced apart with timber /offcuts [strips off ply would do]between each layer minimum 6mm and an inch between piles

for maximum stability make shure at least 3 off the batton/strips travel from side to side per layer
at the top have extra height on one side over the other and turn the decking up side down on the top layer

cover with ply/ hardboard overlapping exposed edges by 6" and screw into place

leave all the sides open unless a particular side will be constantly wet with the prevailing wind
