Hi guys,
Any ideas, I have a gap of 1" to 1/2 " between bath edge and wall. What is the best way to fill, I intend to tile the wall.

Many thanks

Tim :help:

Hi Handyman,

gap is tapered. gap at "tap" end is consistently 1/2" sp walls out of square.

Maybe try and move bath and split the diff ? or is there a product that would suffice ?

cheers

you should chase the plaster and set the bath slightly into the wall by appox 1/4 inch on both the tap end and long side! :thumbright:

That's what I did with my 2 bathrooms :thumbright:

Why oh why, can't builders build square rooms :cussing: :cussing:

I have a window that looks pi$$ed but it's the top runs out by 1.5" in over 36"

I don't think I've made myself clear soz!
I have had the bathroom replastered, the bath was already insitu.
The old tiles were removed before plastering the previous job was abit bodged with 3cwt of sealant, if you catch my drift.

It depends how flexible the plumbing is, you do not want to put any sideways pressure on the plumbing.

If flexible connectors have been used then it should be ok.

If you use solid connectors then you will feel the bath try and spring back when you move it.
