Npower

Post by feva »

i switched over from a pre pay metre to a normal metre, jan07 when i lived in a flat, i moved out of the flat in dec07 during that time i didnt get one bill of npower, every time i phoned up to ask about the bill and a way to pay while i wait, i kept on being told that a payment card is on its was i must of phoned to 5-6 times, when i moved out and informed them on the day, i gave them metre readings, since then ive been trying to get a final correct bill, ive been told by phone & letter that i owed £660, £350, £180 and in one case i was told they owe me £120, its took since dec07 till sept08 to get a final correct bill, they were trying to charge me for after i left the flat.

ive been told they will put it through as a complaint that way some one will look in to my file and phone me within 7 days, and you guessed it the call never came.

when the final bill came in sept08 every thing look alright apart from it didnt have a brake down of units used and the price per unit, so i asked for a another bill with the brake down info on it, its come to day and they are billing me again for times when i wasnt there and its not got my final metre readings on, im on the phone at the moment to them, on hold cos no one can make sense of all the notes on the account, i only want to phone them to say im not paying them a penny, ive tryed and tryed at sort in out they cant get a proper bill sorted so why should i pay after all this time!!!

proper boxed my head in!!!

with all those calls you would expect a judge to throw out the case.........have you got any proof?

I would be tempted to tell them to take you to court over it.

id had binned all the old letters and bills, but they are sending them out again for my refrence along with a copy of my accounts, cos now they dont have a record of some of my phone calls.

i found out today that any electricity/gas supplier can bill you for anything over a year old, i raised with npower today they came back with you closed the account in dec07 so its not being a year! couldnt get them to understand that between jan07 and oct07 i should of been billed three times, which i should off being quaterly, i said im quite happy to pay for oct07 to dec07 if they want but they wouldnt argee so im waiting for everything to come and them i write saying all th problems have been at there end not my ive made attempts to pay, and i now wipe, my hands of teh bill, if they want to take me to court il go to the news papers first.

ive tried a few over the years, and always thought npower were the best, but that was when i was on key metre, they alaway were the cheapest, edf cost me £100 for 6 weeks on key metr

the bill with npower is only £218 but if they keep getting the dates wrong, i wont pay, the main reason i want the brake down of the bill is to check there arent charging me todays rates for last year.
