Hi,
I'd like to use the same flooring in my kitchen and the adjoining patio - preferably a light, modern look... limestone? porcelein?

id avoid using tiles on a patio in this country as they turn a patio into an ice rink when wet! but if your set on it, id go for porcelein as it will survive outside if installed using the correct products! :thumbright:

Thanks for warning and advice. I'm trying to create the impression of space, so thought matching inside and out would do this. I take your point about the problem of icy tiles outside, not very practical. But can you think of anything else that would help me achieve the visual unity I'm looking for??

Porcelain tiles will be a danger to consider when wet as well.

Personally I would consider the reproduction stone/flagstone type tiles.
