deleting xp pro
I had so much trouble with pro, ie finding usb and printer ports etc, as a despertae measure after getting hacked off with it. I installed xp home without deleting xp pro because i dont know how to get it uninstalled from my hard drice, but the the xp home is know installed on my f drive, which is now short of space..lol. so i need to delete the lot and just install xp home, or buy a new hard drive..lol

you need to do it via the set up disc
boot from the set up disc and go thru the set up procedure
you will now find 2 partitions with windows on C:/ and F:/
when it asks you where you want to install xp home tell it C:/
it will then say something about windows already on there continue anyway
then make sure you choose the option to format the drive first
when thats all done you will still have home on F:/ but you can just right click and format that drive from within windows itself

glad to help
you should now have a clean install of Home on C:\ and a clean partition
just a couple of tips ..
set a system restore point now and save everything on your clean partition ..that way if home goes tits up you can either just do a restore or reload it back on without losing your data as it will be on your partition
