Under no circumstances use this company.

My OH bought some GHD straighteners from there at the begining of the year. They were delivered OK but after about 6 months they stopped working. So OH sent then back to CHINA at her expense and as yet failed to hear anything back despite many attempts.

Having had a 5 sec trawl of the net there seems to be many complaints about this company so please don't use this company as, in my OH's case, its £80 + the £20 P&P to return the item, down the drain.

But OH should have sent them back to where he got them, it's not his duty to return them to the manufacturer.

She knows that now Hoovie - her ears are still smarting from the bashing I've just given them. Can't believe she has done this and to make it worse she paid by debit card FFS

I have 2 rules when it comes from buying on tinternet; 1) make purchase with CC only (PayPal is just as corrupt), 2) always research a company you have never used before. Its so easy. Within 30secs I'd found a series of -ve comment saying exactly what OH experienced

As for the fake bit I couldn't tell whether they were genuine or not. If they were fake they were v.good copies. Box was clearly printed, hologram on unit, included a DVD as described on the GHD website. Basically everything looked perfect, even the usage of them was good, or so I'm told, compared to a £30 set of straighteners.

These chinese companies are great at making fakes - they look and feel just as good as the real thing - for a while.
They just don't last as along and are often dangerous.

Was it the GHDs that were featured on Watchdog a while back? bursting into flames?

BTW - there is one Debit Card that has similar fraud protection, but as it is under £100, wouldn't matter either way

Think it is the VISA Debit card that has cover (Switch, Solo or Maestro does not). But I'm with you - Credit Card much better idea regardless

as far as i was told by the bank, visa debit has no protection.......its the same as paying cash. People just get confused (as i did) as it says VISA on it, but they are only doing the same as a switch transaction

Just had another google and in fact, VISA Debit Cards have a BETTER protection then VISA Credit Cards in certain ways

Which is the Real Toyota and which is the Chinese copy ???
