I once got some flat wood bits that were supposed to be by Dewalt, from an ebay seller. I don't think they were dewalt, but they were excellent!

Flat wood bits are my favorite for drilling wood, I'll keep my eyes out for the Bosch ones :wink:

ive got dewalt flat bits, kinda a cranked cuttewr head on them. ive never found a better drill bit than them. got the full set 2 times over from some ebay seller

well i originally bought the smaller sizes then found a seller on ebay with the larger ones. they came in dewalt packets with part numbers on.

lad i work with has a set of dewalt bits the same but black and there in a propper dewalt case

They are great for drilling any size hole in wood.

i use auger bits they clear the hole on mortices etc, will have to try some flatbits then

I have never used auger bits as they take up too much room in the tool box.

You can get a full set of flat bits in a toolbox and they hardly take up any room at all.

i have both standard augers, stubby augers and spade bits they all have there uses

these clear the hole pretty good as well. I only paid £12 for mine on ebay.

I use these mostly for doors and kitchens speed.

I have dewalk flat wood bits wwhich I have made sh#t out of by hitting concrete.

Anyway of sharpening them without spending a lot of £££ of a sharpening tool?

Sharpening saws? wouldn't have the patience :-P :-P
I used a small flat file but its hard to keep the angle straight, worked for a bit but didn't last long, might try the sharpening stone see how I get on.
