I was wondering if ne one could help me. I am learning to plaster and getting quite good at it, but a friend has asked me to plaster areound there fire and alcoves. They had brickwork there and removed it back to the brick on the wall. Therefore i have to use bonding then plaster. i wa wondering how i build up the corners with bonding, before i put angle beading on, then skim it.
Ne help would be grateful.

Alreet,
Normally the angle bead would be bedded into the bonding coat as this saves having to screw or nail it into position.
I find that galvanised steel beading is better than plastic as it is more rigid, if you find that you need some screws or nails then make sure they are rustproof, such as galvanised.
You can hold the angle bead in place with a few dabs of bonding plaster, it is important to set your corners before you finish the bonding coat, although you can add them later and simply skim over them!
